More About the City of Los Angeles
A large portion of the City of Los Angeles is in the San Fernando Valley. Located in the near northwest sector of Los Angeles County, it is usually referred to simply as "The Valley."

Although the San Fernando Valley is within the boundaries of the City of Los Angeles, you will find that two other incorporated cities on its eastern border, Burbank and Glendale, often align themselves with "The Valley" when it is politically or economically expedient to do so.

Recently the San Fernando Valley has had a growing political constituency interested in seceding from the City of LA and forming its own city, much like Glendale and Burbank have been for countless decades. Click here to follow the progress of the Valley secession movement.
